☘I am the North American Officer for Study Abroad and Postgraduate Programs at University College Cork, Ireland. In my position, I help build institutional partnerships, run our student ambassador program in the region, and work with students in the US and Canada who want to pursue studies in Cork. I also am the author of a Young Adult Fiction novel called “Someone Else’s Shoes”, an avid runner, and can’t get enough my my ski slopes!
2. How did you get involved with the brand?
☘The lovely and always stylish Jaimee Jensen-McDaniel (@thecurvysoprano) -who I met at at the University of Limerick in Ireland- invited me to be one of SmartGlamour’s Instagram women of the week three years ago, and the rest is history! I began ordering dresses for work and then for events…it’s hard not to fall in love with SmartGlamour!
3. You’ve modeled for us multiple times – what makes you continue to come back?
☘As a writer I have always been all about words, messaging, and the greater meaning behind everything. SmartGlamour immediately caught my attention with its positivity, promotion of genuine self-love, and belief that beauty comes in all bodies. When I model for SmartGlamour, I feel confident, radiant, and beautiful, and I know that the clothing I model and company I model for are dedicated to making all people feel the same way!
4. What does body positivity mean to you?
☘Body positivity means loving yourself, your body, your soul AND supporting others in their own journeys towards the same goal. It means living life as an advocate for a movement that embraces and celebrates all bodies – and people- as worthy, elegant, stylish, unique, and stunning. We were all created as totally original beings…and that’s something in which to revel.
5. If there is a message you could put across to women/femmes/non binary folks through your modeling photos – what would that be?
☘Let joy shine through in everything you do. I can’t help but smile so big when I’m modeling for SmartGlamour, and it is my deepest hope that my smile, and all it represents, brings a little bit more hope, happiness, confidence, and joy to others. I know the smiles I get from others always do the trick for me…never stop sharing them and celebrating YOU!
6. What is your advice to people who would like to give modeling a try?
☘If you can put on an item of clothing, love yourself in it, smile, and pose then you can model. I never in a million years thought I would have the confidence to model clothing, and for a long time I thought I wasn’t good enough to model at all. Long story short, I have never been happier to be proven wrong!
