Fashion History and Business Basics

Welcome to our Fashion History and Business Basics class. In this video I will discuss: What is fashion? How’d we get here? What is the history of fashion, the history of the garment district in NYC, and the history of runway shows? What kinds of fashion businesses exist and how are they set up?

This class is part of a four class course. These classes are one-offs from my larger inclusive fashion business course. But they are not only for folks interested in fashion business as a career. I firmly believe that everyday shoppers and consumers can benefit hugely from these classes. The more information you have, the better decisions you can make when shopping. Knowledge is power!

Since knowledge is power – I also believe it should be as accessible as possible to as many people as possible. You’ll notice there is not a set price for these classes – but a sliding scale. You choose what you would like to, and are able to, pay. All videos have full captions available.
