Welcome to our Fabric Studies + a Virtual Field Trip to NYCs Garment District class. In this video I will discuss: What are fabrics, how are they made, what kinds are used for what items, how do you sew with them, and where should you shop for them.

This class is part of a four class course. These classes are one-offs from my larger inclusive fashion business course. But they are not only for folks interested in fashion business as a career. I firmly believe that everyday shoppers and consumers can benefit hugely from these classes. The more information you have, the better decisions you can make when shopping. Knowledge is power!

Since knowledge is power – I also believe it should be as accessible as possible to as many people as possible. You’ll notice there is not a set price for these classes – but a sliding scale. You choose what you would like to, and are able to, pay. All videos have full captions available.
