Our next Model of the Month is Brooke! She first modeled for our Spring 2016 Look Book and Runway Show. She was then a part of our InYourSize campaign, and most recently, Fall 2016 Look Book and Runway Show and Winter/Holiday Look Book.

1. Aside from occasionally modeling for SmartGlamour – what do you do?
First and foremost, I’m a mother to an awesome young artist. By day, I work in HR/Recruiting in the fashion industry. During my “free time”, I volunteer with Gotham Girls Roller Derby, model on a freelance basis, cosplay at various nerdy gatherings and support my people in the underground/indie hip –hop scene.2. How did you get involved with the brand?I saw Tess Holliday wearing an Amelia Bomber jacket and knew I had to have one. To my surprise, I saw an Instagram post about a casting call for models. Just a few days earlier I was thinking about conquering my fear of being in front of the camera. I showed up to the casting call super nervous but Mallorie (SG designer/owner) and Nikki (SG assistant) made me feel so welcomed! I’ve never looked back!
3. You’ve modeled for us multiple times – what makes you continue to come back?
Body positivity means loving your body as it is RIGHT NOW. It is no better or worse than the next person’s body.
5. If there is a message you could put across to other people through your modeling photos – what would that be?Be authentic. Be real. Never compromise your integrity.6. What is your advice to other people who would like to give modeling a try? Go for it! There is someone out there that identifies with you and would love to see you as representation.
