Next up in our Model of the Month Series is Bunny Buxom!  Bunny has modeled for SmartGlamour multiple times.  We asked her a few questions about her SmartGlamour experience.

1) Aside from occasionally model for SmartGlamour – what do you do?  I am a burlesque performer, producer, and social justice warrior! My company Rabbit Hole Productions puts on monthly themed burlesque shows through a lens of body positivity, sex positivity, and feminism.2) How did you get involved with the brand?  I got involved with SmartGlamour through a mutual friend who is also a burlesque performer. Mallorie and I met at a monthly show and slowly realized that we held many of the same feminist values. unnamed3) You’ve modeled for us multiple times – what makes you continue to come back?  I keep coming back and modeling for SmartGlamour because there’s nothing else like it. No other clothing company is this body positive and creates handmade clothing with unique bodies in mind. SmartGlamour knows that a size small looks a million different ways and caters to a patron’s preference and comfort while still being affordable and stylish. I don’t know any other brand with as many size options as smart glamour, AND they customize! As a woman who has trouble shopping because my body doesn’t fit a particular size in most size charts, I feel at home in SmartGlamour clothes.4) What does body positivity mean to you?  To me, body positivity means loving, accepting, and representing all different bodies. Bodies come in so many sizes, shapes, abilities, and colors, and all bodies have a story to tell; I think it’s important that they’re all represented in fashion, entertainment, and other types of media. No one should ever be made to feel bad about what their body looks like or shamed for not being a particular size. All bodies are important, and we shouldn’t be made to feel like a stranger’s judgement defines our self worth, nor does a number on a scale or a tag. Body positivity is self-love and the acceptance of others. 5) If there is a message you could put across to other women through your modeling photos – what would that be?  Don’t let anyone tell you that ‘you can’t’, ‘you’re not’, or ‘you shouldn’t’ because of your size, shape, gender, ethnicity, age, or experience. If you want to do it, you can.6) What is your advice for other women who would like to give modeling a try? Do it! Have fun and be yourself and don’t judge yourself too harshly. Being comfortable in front of a camera or other people takes time, but that confidence comes much faster if you’re comfortable with yourself.unnamed-1
